So, although we unfortunately didn't get into law school this year at BYU, ASU or UofU...Dennis heard back from UofI and is an alternate! So, the waiting game continues, but at least it's not another "NO" I remember when I applied for Hygiene, I was an alternate the first year and got right in the second time around. I think it helps your confidence a little if you do have to apply again, because you were close the first time, but not quite there, and the second time you sharpen up a little and you know you were close already, so I hope that's how he feels. I feel bad for guys, they have so much responsibility weighing on them to be the soul provider and to be successful. I love Dennis and I'm glad he's trying so hard. I know something will work out one way or another.
Last night we had a Dental Hygiene Reunion potluck. Quite a few of the girls who live here and I get together every once in a while, and it's always so much fun. I can't believe how much we've multiplied! Everyone has these cute little kids running around! It was a lot of fun, thanks guys for coming! We have a great little clubhouse with our apt complex, so it was nice to have a lot of space for a change! One day there will be a house...just not right now. That's one thing I wish Dennis and I would have done a few years ago, is buy a house. We would have had great opportunities. Pocatello is still low for housing costs, but the prices have definitely grown over the last few years. Anything desirable for us now would be well over $100,000...I know that totally doesn't sound like ANYTHING to most of you, but remember the first time you thought about buying a house? Plus, we don't know where we'll be next year, so that's a big issue too.
Anyhow, more waiting! I am not very patient, so, I guess we'll just let the time pass waiting on the baby.
New projects that I have accumulated:
Still need to re-upholster the glider
Make a love sac (a foam bag)--I have all the stuff, and none of the know-how!
Make baby blankets--Need to figure out a hemstitching substitute, anyone?
Make some diapees and wipees clutches (they're really cute and totally handy, great gifts...)
Still making bracelets every once in a while...look out if you're having a girl, you'll be getting plenty of bracelets!
I think this is my way of nesting. When I was pregnant with Austin I was totally into making those rag quilts, but ended up making one for Austin and about 5 or 6 for everyone else I knew having a baby! Combine nesting with a compulsive personality and voile! Dennis's worst nightmare! The house is fairly clean, however! I still want to shampoo the carpets in June...maybe toward the end, so it will put me in labor :)

Yeah! A new post! I am always checking back. . . Sounds like you are just a social butterfly. I can't wait to see what you bring to our craft night - I don't have anything to bring, so I am all yours - we'll figure out all your (not so) little projects! I'm sure you're glad to hear good news about law school - but I'm not. :) I'd rather you guys just stay. . .
Yep, I've been such a lazy blogger, I guess I wait until I have something exciting or interesting to share, otherwise I'm a pretty boring person! :) I am going to bring a few things. Where is the craft night? What time? Will there be a sewing machine? I should just call you huh? So, Juno...
I'm waiting to hear from you about the hem stitching. I have everything you might need. Thanks for being such an awesome vt companion. I would never go if it weren't for you.
