This was the BEST trip ever!! Minus the 14 hours in the car!!
We went to San Diego the last week of April. We had a pretty rough start...went to get a tune-up for our car and ended up without a car (still no car...) they told us we would need over $700 worth of work and we were pretty bummed. So, Dennis has such a great loving family, his great brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Heather let us borrow their extra car, which made the trip possible, so thanks so much you guys are the best. Next hurdle, bodily fluids...Austin was throwing up thursday night and friday, and then had the runs saturday and sunday. Not fun. I can't handle those bodily fluids. YUCK. We were questioning whether we should make the trip or if everything going on was to tell us to stay, when my mom (huge surprise as she is wonderfully realistic) told me it's probably the opposite and you need this trip.
So, day one, drove down the coast, went to the beach and checked out the temple, amazing.
Day two 6 hours at Sea World, I cried at the Shamu show, so embarrassing to admit, but I was overwhelmed by how amazing it all was and how I'd wanted to see this my whole life. I realize how dumb that sounds, really I do. ;)
Day three 6 hours at the San Diego Zoo, so much to see, so much walking and whining from Austin! Grayson was pretty much a dream the whole time except at 4 AM
Day four 4 hours at the Wild Animal Park, and afternoon at the beach, so fun!
Day five, morning at the beach, goodbye Cali, hello Vegas.
I really hated Vegas, hot and Nasty. not fun for kids at all, well, the strip anyway.
On to my brother's house in Springville, UT late Friday night (thanks again guys for having us) and the last leg home on Saturday...Ahhh, to be home! I wish we could have flown and stayed the extra four days in San Diego. We did lots more, but don't want to bore everyone...
I lost my cell in sea world the first day. They called us as we were getting on the freeway to go home, so we got one more shamu show in, no crying this time. I loved San Diego, so beautiful and so much to do and see!

I have to admit, My favorite picture is of Austin into the diapers! Hilarious! And you aren't dumb for crying at Sea World. You're dream came true, and animals are amazing, I think it'd be dumb NOT to get teared up in a moment like that! :0) Love you guys!
San Diego is lots of fun. Cort leaves about an hour away so we went to sea world and disney land before we moved. One of the good things about being in the military is sea world was free. You were brave to drive. Last time i drove Addi was 6 months and i will never do it again.
ILOVE reading your Blog! I love the pictures- what an amazing trip-yes? And don't worry, you're not the only weepy woman- we all have those moments.... the kids are adorable!!! I miss you guys! Haven't seen you for a while now-- I'll be at Heather's the weekend of the 29th- maybe I'll get to see some of my "Barlow family"- love ya tons!
