My brother Jared and me.

This was taken right around 6:15-6:30, so already filling up...I didn't take any pictures really after this, so I'm hoping others did and I can get copies!

Tegan's Grandparents and Daddy

So, after reading my friend Dani's post I decided I'd better soup my synopsis of the event up just a touch.

On Thursday, Erin and I loaded up our cars with prizes and went to the Red Lion to start setting up. My friend Dani and Ally (tegan's aunt) came and we got everything done fairly quickly. Dani and Erin put centerpieces together, fishbowls with goldfish from McKee's and we all worked hard to get the auction items out on their tables. Jodi and Carin came and we were able to fill three tables with items for the silent auction and two tables plus for the live auction. We borrowed a projector from my brother in law and after fiddling for a while Monica Dani and I had one of the guys from the band help us figure out how to use it. We got it up and running with an awesome slideshow (if I do say so myself!) that I'd put together that morning. Roger came and started getting his things set up and let me tell you, he put on quite the show!! He was amazing! He's from Prime Time Auctions, so if you want a good time, go to an auction, it's totally worth it!

I rushed home and got ready in under 15 minutes and then rushed back to the hotel. By that time we had more helpers and we were really able to get things going. Ang's parents made it and so did Eric and his parents, that was so neat. People started to come and pretty soon the room was filled. We had live music from the band, The Brothers of Jared. They are a local cover band and they were pretty amazing! I loved it! The silent auction went really well and then on to the main event. The bike ended up going for over $700! It was awesome! Dennis won the night at the Red Lion jacuzzi suite w/dinner and a movie, can't wait to use it! I was bummed I didn't win more from the silent auction, there were a lot of cool things!

Brenda Baumgartner and Todd Blackinton from channel 6 were there, not to report, but to participate. Very cool. I'm pretty sure a good time was had by all. Shelby gave a great little intro from the family and lots of neat little things happened throughout the evening. We played a game called 50/50 where someone wins half the cash raised and we kept the other half and the lady gave her half back to Tegan. Also, I know that the crowd we had weren't a lot of people with a lot to spend, a lot of young couples were there and we raised an amazing amount for the crowd we had, I was so impressed. At the check in table, Dani and Shelby told me two little boys ran up and dropped in $20 each and their mom came along and pointed at her five year old and told them he's her survivor. What a blessing to have healthy kids. I'm greatful for each day I have with them.

There was only one mishap during the entire event, Grayson was at home with Daddy and fell on the sidwalk outside. This is the reason my child needs to wear a helmet! Poor little guy, it looks a lot better in the picture than when I saw it while I was at home getting ready. It made me sick to leave him. But, he's okay now, he just looks like he got hit by a car. that's all. : ) Anyway, a huge thank you again to everyone who came and helped and participated and donated. It was a huge success because of all of you. Thank you!

Be sure to watch for the Craft fair at the Mystique Nov. 7th!!

I wish I could have been there! I had two sick kids at home! We just keep passing something around. I would still like to give some money. I don't have a lot to give but I guess anything helps. Also please let me know if I can help with anything! I would be more than willing to! Awesome job!

Jenn, you are such a good friend to have. You were awesome to do so much. I was sad we couldn't make it. I was working until 9 that night and Ife did not want to take both boys by himself. I'm glad it went so well. Good Job and keep us posted on the upcoming events.
