Grampa's "boo"thday

I've been checking out everyone's blogs and there are so many fun things going on! we've been all gloom and doom here at our house for the last month. So, no more! time for fun memories. We'll have to make some first of course, actually just document. so here goes...
Baby Micah (Jared and Asia) was born two weeks ago, he was a few weeks premature but is home in Utah now doing really well. For being so early he was HUGE--7 lbs, 6 oz and 21 in long! We grow boys big in this family I guess (according to my mom). Daddy is 6'5" so not that surprizing! I just realized my pictures are on my phone, not my camera...so I'll get some pictures next week when I go down to see them.

We had a little birthday party for my dad. His favorite holiday is Halloween, so I thought I'd make him a halloweenish cake, I don't think he was all that impressed. I thought it was awesome. Happy "boo"thday. Ha. anyway, I think I'm pretty hilarious.

Austin is going to be Tigger for Halloween (thanks aunt shelly) and Grayson will be the cutest little skunk ever! Austin has worn that costume every day since we got it! He jumps around saing "boing".

I have some funny tripping stories. I was cleaning up the kitchen the other night and was putting away the crock pot and totally tripped on the cord, landed on my knees and hit my lip on the crock. So, I now know what I'd look like with botox. Then yesterday I was filling up my car with gas and walked over the pump line and totally tripped and fell, right in front of tons of people at the stoplight on yellowstone! I was so embarrassed so I laughed because I knew if I saw someone do that I'd be laughing. So embarrassing. Anyway, no more news on the house front, we're still looking. I'm so bummed everything has fallen through, but I think there's a reason. Some of the YW told me they've been praying for us to not go, I think they must have more faith than me. :)

Jen I'm so glad I am not the only one that does embarassing things. Today I was playing for the ward choir and I went to turn a page and all of my music fell on the floor. Not fun-red cheeks and sweat as I tried to quickly gather and reorganize my music!!! You're awesome!!

OH my goodness! Your little trip over the gas hose thing still has me laughing! That's great.

I laughed about you falling at the gas pump, but that's only because I could see myself doing it. I was in a dressing room, trying on some pants, tripped, and fell out the door bum first! My mom and I laughed until we walked out and saw a dad and his son sitting there waiting. Neither would look me in the eye. I was horrified! But it still makes my mom laugh so it was worth it...I guess

Well, even if Grandpa wasn't impressed with his cake, I am! I might even copy your idea for my sister-in-law's birthday that lands on Halloween!

Seriously, I just laughed out loud about the gas station "trip". Ya, laughing definitely helps smooth out the embarrassment. Love the "BOOthday" Cake!!

Oh, Jen! I wish I could have seen you falling on your face. Too funny! Sounds like something I would do.
