the last 6 months...

Well,  I'm so so so sorry that it's been 6 months since my last post!!!!  TIME FOR SOME UPDATES!!  The biggest update in our crazy little life is that on May 29 of this year we bought our first house!!!  We have been so busy w/updating and decorating and mostly enjoying our new house, so I'm just going to let that be our excuse for the time being...
Also, in March our oldest nephew Walker (who had just come off of his mission in November) came all the way up here from Hawaii to stay with us for a little bit before he went off to start school at byu-i...well, I decided he needed to date a little so he wasn't in the weird r.m. mode.  soooo....i put a little ad out on facebook to get him some dates and we (this girl's mama and I) set him up with Rachel, who was one of my YW a couple of years ago.  5 yes, 5 weeks later they were engaged!!!!  That is match number 2 thank you very much!  they will be getting married in the i.f. temple next month--we're so excited for them!
My brother Jared has been living with us on and off over the last 6-ish months while he's on rotation for p.a. school.  He finished up his last out-of-town rotation a couple of weeks ago and is now staying with us semi-permanently until he gets his own place he got a job that will begin in september at the hospital after he gets his license!  we're very happy to have him here with us and dennis is loving having someone to play with...dead serious.  haha! :)
I am still working at Davis Dental Studio 21/2 days a week and sooooo loving my job.  I work with an amazing team and love what I do every day! 
So.  Life. is. good.
Now, the house story...Dennis chose to go away from the law school idea and we decided to get a house here in Pocatello.  we started looking and decided to wait about 6months and save up a down payment.  welllll, our realtor called me  one day and said he had the perfect house for us.  we went and took a look and put in an offer and it was accepted.  so, instead of having 6months, we had 1month to save $3000...we were so blessed and on multiple occasions our prayers were answered with random "gifts" ($) that we really needed.  So, thank you, you all know who you are.  we love you and appreciate you and hope to be able to do the same for someone else in the future! 
so.  We bought a 4 bed 2 bath home, it's older and needs a facelift, but we are loving it!  we are in a little tiny cul de sac with quiet neighbors, a huge yard and lots of potential. 

The first month was pretty stressful-we painted.  a lot.  Dennis has a couple of friends who came and made a custom tiled bathroom downstairs for us and widened the doorway to the downstairs family room.  we put in recessed lighting upstairs and down and did i mention paint?  the downstairs family room has now been painted 3 times.  yes. 3. not the most fun month of my life, but definitely coming together and will be great when we're done. 
we still need to do the upstairs bathroom, it needs a shower...weird that there's only a tub, but whatever.  we also will eventually do the kitchen floor and prob next year look at doing the outside/roof.  so.  lots of improvements, lots of long nights and lots lots lots of trips to home depot.  in the 9 years that dennis has been there i've not been in as many times as i have in the last 2 months!!

Grayson turned 3 last week, he's such a sweet, wonderful little guy, we just love him to pieces!!  We had lots of family over for yummy hawaiian food, which was delish if I say so myself!  He is having so much fun playing outside with austin and is such a good little helper. 

Austin is 5 now and so tall!  such a smarty pants, a little too much for his own good most days!  He is climbing trees and almost always into some kind of mischief.  still.  He is so excited to be able to go to kindergarten this fall and even more excited to be able to walk to school and church--both are right down the street. 

We love our new ward and got thrown right in 2 weeks after moving, Dennis is a ward missionary and they put me in the relief society presidency.  whew!  Everyone has been so nice and friendly and we have just been loving it all!!!

I lost my charger to my camera in the move and i'm ticked.  I will post pics as soon as i can, right now i'm relying on sisters for pictures....so I will post pics of the house soon and then birthday boy.  :)
