From Carin's great example, I've decided to find more things in my life that make me happy. I used to do this at Ricks and it would drive my roommates crazy!! I would tell them after I'd explained what a terrible day I'd had that "at least I don't have leprosy" I remember doing this in Hygiene school also, but I came up with some pretty crazy worst case scenarios that made my life look like utter bliss. I really did listen in class...most of the time!

2. the Gospel, do I really need to expound on this one. How perfect our lives can be if we live the principles we're taught, well maybe not perfect, but pretty close to.
3. A clean house, ours is not perfect most of the time, but when everything has a place, it's a wonderful feeling.
4. Spring/summertime! Vacations during the summer are the best.

5. Old Audrey Hepburn movies, I love her. I also love Doris Day movies.
6. Perfume. Good smells always make me happy, I love when people tell me I smell good.
7.
8. Finding a great deal--that's the best feeling, instead of spending $100 on one item, if you can get five or six, what greater accomplishment is there!?
9. Reading a good book, not that I take the time to do that often, but I should, because I love to read.

10. Playing the guitar or the piano, what a great release.
11. Listening to good music
12. Emily's perfect room. My friend Emily is the greatest little designer ever, she created the cutest little nursery ever, it makes me happy seeing the pictures of it, and thinking, one day I'll have matching furniture!
13. I also love Pottery Barn, it's exquisite--one day...
14. knowing I'm done with school and that I don't have to go back.

15. Being debt free, I've had this feeling a few times, it's a really good one! Can't wait to have it again!
...are you still with me? this is getting to be a long list.
There really are a lot of things that make me happy, and my Grandpa gave me a piece of advice that he wanted me to use--when something stressful comes along, think about how it will impact your life in 50 years, if it's that big of a deal, then it's something to be concerned about, if not--don't worry about it. I love my Grandparents, it makes me so happy that they are still here to offer advice and support and love!

Hello! I just noticed your comment on my blog back at the beginning of the month...sorry!! I'm not ignoring you I promise! Our baby girl is due June 4th, but I'm hoping for a May baby :) So, we'll see. Congrats on your baby boy! Boys are so much fun but I have to say that so far girls are a ton more fun to shop for!
The picture of you on Grandpa's lap completely reminded me of Ava (is that how they spell it, what kind of aunt am I, I don't even know how to spell her name!!!)
Great blog!
I love your pictures. And I love that you have so much to be happy about! I can't wait to see your highlights!
